The core research unit is engaged in research aiming at building and applying intelligence infrastructure for value creation through the development of advanced artificial intelligence and natural language processing technologies and their application to real-world data. In addition, we bring world-class academic activities into our field of informatics by inviting international researchers.

In this unit, we provide students with a forum for discussion on real-world data circulation, and opportunities for overseas research and internships, taking over the results of the Leading Program regarding the information. Moreover, we provide venture support at various stages from the foundation to IPO. We nurture and support students who can imagine the future and who can take of the challenge to seriously change our society for the better.

The purposes of the Incubation Unit is to: collaborate with faculty members at the Graduate School of Informatics, collaborate with researchers outside the graduate school principally by faculty members in the graduate school, and contribute to the mission of the Graduate School through the enlightenment of student activities at the School of Informatics and the Graduate School of Informatics.
